Dup15q Alliance Care Package for families.

Dup15q Alliance Care Package is a new initiative to support Dup15q Alliance families whose children affected by Dup15q Syndrome may be in the hospital. Being in the hospital is not fun for anyone and often knowing that people are thinking about you is helpful. The Dup15q Alliance has set up a Dup15q Alliance Care Package Fund to send care packages to duper families when they are in the hospital, emergency room, or intensive care unit for unplanned medical circumstances.

Dup15q Alliance Counseling Services is a new program that offers counseling services at no charge to our families. Research indicates parents raising kids with disabilities are more likely than others to experience anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions. This emotional unrest can have a tremendous effect on your physical health.

The Dup15q Alliance Counseling program is not limited to caregiver stress, parents can reach out for support with marital problems, substance abuse, self-esteem, and stress management.
