$8,415 towards $5,000

Hello. I'm running the NYC marathon on Sunday to raise money for Dup15q Alliance, a non-profit that serves children with Dup15q syndrome like my daughter Annabel.
The top 3 reasons to donate to the Alliance:
1. We fund research projects that will lead to drastically improving the quality of life for people with Dup15q syndrome. And we're great at it. For every $1 we put into research, we get another $5 in follow-on funding because our research projects show so much promise.
2. We collaborate with other rare disease organizations so many of our projects can help kids with other rare diseases.
3. The parents in this community are the strongest people we know. Our scientists are the most dedicated. And we have more momentum than ever. We're a group of people to bet on.
This year has been our most challenging as a family. Annabel's aggressive behaviors overwhelmed us. In March we entered her into an autism program in Atlanta for kids with severe behavioral problems. I lived there with her for 5 months while Sarah was with our 3 boys in LA. We swapped roles in August. If Annabel's progress continues, we hope to have the whole family back together by Christmas. And as difficult as this has been, it pales in comparison to what others are managing. We have friends with children having 100 seizures a day. In the last few weeks, three young people with Dup15q syndrome have passed away. It's heartbreaking.
There is a path forward to helping Annabel and her peers. It's Dup15q Alliance. I'm not in marathon shape this year, but I'm happy to drag my butt 26.2 miles on Sunday. I'll do anything for this organization. Please consider a donation. You will be part of an amazing story that changes the course of these kids' lives. Thank you!
