This time I am Running for a Reason!

I am excited to announce that for the first time I have signed up as a Charity Runner in the AJC Peachtree RoadRace to support the Dup15q Alliance! Their mission is to Dup15q Alliance provide family support and promotes awareness, research and targeted treatments for Dup15q Syndrome. Dup15q Syndrome is characterized by having an extra copy of a portion of chromosome 15 in the 11.2 – 13.1 region in combination with a number of symptoms that may include, hypotonia, epilepsy, cognitive delay, motor delays, autism, and similar facial features. “The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race is for everyone,” said Rich Kenah, the Peachtree’s race director. “We are proud of this opportunity for Atlanta’s most cherished tradition to be able to give back to organizations working to make Running City USA a better place.” Join me in supporting real change.
